Description

Our New South Wales Students Educational Program offer diverse and culturally rich activities, programs that include intercultural exchange with Australian students and the wider community. Our flexibility, knowledge and expertise ensures our programs are tailored specifically to meet the budget, needs and interests of our student groups.

Program

Day 1
Arrive Sydney International Airport. Full day sightseeing. See the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Orientation and meet with host families at time 4.00pm at UOW College. Transfer to homestay accommodation by host families.

Day 2

9.00AM – 12.00PM: Official welcome followed by UOW College class (orientation by UOW College teacher to include rules and behaviour expectations.
12.00PM – 12.45PM: Lunch provided on campus
12.45PM – 4.00PM: Catch private bus for a Tour of Wollongong. Visit Mt. Keira lookout. Visit the local beaches (North Wollongong beach).

Day 3

9.00AM – 12.00PM: UOW College Class– Public Speaking and Team Leadership skills.
12.00PM – 12.45PM: Lunch provided on campus.
12.45PM – 4.00PM: Visit Symbio Animal Park to see Native Australian animals including kangaroos and koalas.

Day 4

9.00AM – 12.00PM: UOW College class – Australian culture and community awareness.
12.00PM – 4.00PM: Beach safety talk by Surf Lifesaving Australia at City Beach. Sausage sizzle lunch and beach activities.

Day 5

8.30AM – 5.30PM: Full Day trip to Sydney. Visit Sydney University and Darling Harbour. Lunch provided. Cruise on the harbour.

Day 6

Free day with host families. Spend Time with hosts. Go for shopping/malls/beaches/local surroundings.

Day 7

9.00AM – 12.00PM: UOW College Class – Australian economy.
12.00PM – 12.45PM: Lunch provided on campus.
1.00PM – 4.00PM: Visit the South coast town of Kiama. Visit the small and large Blow hole, rock pool seaside walk and the town of Kiama.

Day 8

9.00AM – 12.00PM: UOW College Class - History of Australia and Aboriginal culture.
12.00PM – 12.45PM: Lunch provided on campus.
1.00PM – 4.00PM: Visit the Botanic Gardens for bush tucker bush medicine traditional Aboriginal tour.

Day 9

9.00AM – 12.00PM: UOW College Class - Australian Education System.
12.00PM – 12.45PM: Lunch provided on campus.
1.00PM – 4.00PM: Visit a local High School (Subject to Availability)

Day 10

9.00AM – 12.00PM: UOW College Class - Australian sports and youth Culture.
12.00PM – 12.45PM: Lunch provided on campus.
1.00PM – 4.00PM: Conversations sports and games with local UOW students including cricket, basketball and touch football.

Day 11

9.00AM – 12.00PM: Course review & graduation ceremony (Certificates Presented).
12.00PM – 12.45PM: Graduation lunch provided on campus.
1.00PM – 4.00PM: Visit Crown Street Markets, beaches and shopping mall.

Day 12

8.30AM – 5.30PM: Visit a local farm for the day. Enjoy billy tea and damper. See sheep shearing, enjoy a tractor ride. Enjoy a BBQ Aussie lunch. Learn how to throw a boomerang and feed the farm animals.

Day 13

Free day with host families. Spend Time with hosts. Go for shopping/malls/beaches/local surroundings.

Day 14

Host families to drop students and luggage at UOW College - time TBC. Transfer to Sydney International Airport for return flight home.

Itinerary is subject to change, due to operational reasons, the routing of this tour may be amended. However, all mentioned services will remain unchanged.

Particulars: Program is open for groups only. 
  • Ideal Group Size: 20 participants per group
  • Age Requirement: 10–17 Years
  • Accompanying Teacher/Escort: 2 FOC
  • Program Availability: Round the year – Except Breaks, Festivals. (Pls. check availability)
  • Accommodation Type: Hostel
  • Inclusions: All Inclusions as indicated in the Itinerary (Accommodation, Meals, Transfers, Sightseeing, Entrance for the duration of the tour)

Participant must hold a passport that is valid for no less than six months beyond the intended stay. It should contain two facing blank pages for any visa to be affixed to. A valid VISA is required. (Exact passport and Visa requirements vary depending on the country you are visiting and your nationality)
